Academy Awards: A Haiku for each Best Picture

I woke up early so decided to compose a haiku for each of the Best Picture nominees...

AMERICAN HUSTLE

Bad clothes and bad wigs,
Look out for the FBI…
They can’t take a joke.

CAPTAIN PHILIPS

All alone at sea,
Terrorists have feelings too.
Here comes the Navy.

DALLAS BUYERS CLUB

Homophobia,
Then immune deficiency,
With a change of heart

GRAVITY

Space is full of ghosts,
Beaches never felt so good,
Perseverance wins.

HER

Loneliness is hard,
Fell in love with an iPhone.
Nothing can go wrong.

NEBRASKA

An old man with dreams
Of winning the lottery.
Loves to have a drink…

PHILOMENA

Young girls in trouble,
A journalist offers help,
Nuns should be nicer…

12 YEARS A SLAVE

The colour of skin,
A tragedy of history.
Look around the world…

THE WOLF OF WALL STREET

Unrepentant pride,
Mixed with a cocktail of drugs

Who said Greed is Good?

Which film do you think is going to win?  Lay it out with a haiku in the comments section below...
